Princeton Rays honor Vietnam War veterans

On Thursday, the Princeton Rays honored Vietnam War Veterans prior to their game against the Bristol Pirates.

The Rays invited veterans out to the ball park for a special ceremony to honor and remember prisoners of war and those missing in action.

The organization unveiled a seat that will forever be part of H.P. Hunnicutt Field to serve as a constant reminder of those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

"It means everything," said Jerry Mitkiff, a Vietnam veteran. "Princeton has always been supportive of us, and our Vietnam veterans chapter has always been supportive of Princeton. It’s been that way for years."

The veterans were invited to stay and watch the game once the ceremony was finished.
