Construction workers in Oak Hill uncover some bone fragments while conducting excavation work.
The discovery was made on Tuesday at Plateau Medical Center in the rear of the hospital where an expansion project is currently underway.
Officers with the Oak Hill Police Department picked-up the bone fragments and conducted an immediate search of the area.
At this point, it is not known whether the remains are of animal or human origin. According to Chief Michael Whisman, the bone fragments will be sent to the West Virginia Medical Examiner’s Office in Charleston for further inspection.
