The City of Bluefield approved a resolution that can bring more economic boom to the City.
The City of Bluefield contracted with EL Robinson Engineering to evaluate the land around Exit One. But the City needs to acquire more funds before getting to work.
The City applied for grant with Economic Development Administration. Now the Board of Directors has approved a resolution to secure matching funds for the project.
“It will allow us to move forward with that project,” said Jim Spencer, Community and Economic Development Director for the City. “Our property at Exit One could be a catalyst for further development on John Nash Boulevard.”
The City hopes to begin construction on the property, in 2020.
