(WVVA) A few rain showers are possible early Tuesday evening with partly cloudy skies expected for the rest of the night. A cold front will stall near our area and begin to lift north as a warm front. The front will also begin to fall apart and will be less of an influence on our weather for Wednesday. We will see partly cloudy skies on Wednesday with an isolated shower possible in the afternoon, but most areas will remain dry. Another cold front will approach the area late Thursday and will increase our chances for rain showers Thursday evening and night.
A ridge of high pressure aloft will keep our temperatures above average through the weekend with highs in the upper 70s and lower 80s with lows in the 60s. Our normal highs and lows this time of year should be in the upper 60s and lower 70s with lows in the upper 40s and lower 50s. A few afternoon showers are possible through the weekend. Warm weather will continue early next week as well.
