The Mountain Lions were all smiles on Saturday after just their second win of the season. CU defeated West Liberty 46-33 by gaining more than 400 yards, forcing four turnovers and scoring two special teams touchdowns. After an emotional game like that, sometimes a team can hit all wall — but not this team. Head coach Paul Price said his guys are feeling better than ever.
“Yesterday’s practice was on of the best practices of the year, which usually doesn’t happen on a Tuesday, nine or ten weeks into the season,” he said. “We were getting after it, having fun, and competing in practice and I think that’s a direct result of the success we had.”
Next up for Concord is a trip to Fairmont State this Saturday at 1 p.m.
