MCDOWEL COUNTY, WV (WVVA) Twenty-eight men and women have been indicted by the latest grand jury in McDowell County.
Charges include burglary, child abuse, drug crimes, DUI, fraud, grand larceny and murder.
Roy Lee Phillips, 46, is under indictment for first degree murder in the November 2017 stabbing death of John Thompson, 42. It happened at a home in the Carswell Hollow area. Both men resided in the home. Police say a 6-inch dagger was used to kill Thompson.
