A Mercer County man is behind bars tonight after Bluefield police officers were dispatched to a disturbance call involving a man brandishing a weapon on Larch St. around 2 PM Thursday afternoon.
The Bluefield Police Dept. says upon arrival officers made contact with Donquale Gray, 25. He had a set of keys in his pocket that were consistent with a white Jeep on the scene where you could see an assault style rifle was placed inside.
Officers were able to recover a rifle, drum magazine, 75 bullets, four bags containing what is believed to be 12 grams of cocaine, three unidentifiable round pills, $817 and one container with 71 grams of marijuana packaged for individual sale.
Donquale Gray has been charged with felon in possession of a firearm, possession with intent to distribute and possession of a controlled substance schedule I and II.
Patrolman DA Williams; Patrolman RV Johnson; Sergeant MD Pertee and K-9 Ace all assisted in this case.
