(WVVA) Rain is likely tonight as a cold front approaches the area with temperatures in the 50s and a few areas in the 60s. It will also be windy at times with gusts up to 30mph possible. The cold front will move through the area overnight and will be east of our region Tuesday morning.
A northwest flow will keep clouds around and a few showers at times too. High temperatures will be cooler in the upper 40s and lower 50s for most areas. Our normal high temperatures are in the lower 40s. Drier weather will move in Tuesday night and Wednesday.
A weak system will bring us a chance of a few rain showers Thursday, with a better chance of rain Friday as another area of low pressure moves our way. High temperatures will warm into the 50s on Friday ahead of this system. A few lingering rain or snow showers are possible Saturday as the low pulls away with highs in the 40s. Drier weather will move back into the area for Sunday and Monday with above average highs in the 50s.
