2019 Police Explorers Programs

Future Police Explorers attended their first Princeton Police Explorers class of the year Saturday.

The Police Explorers Program is a collaborative effort between Community Connections and the Bluefield and Princeton Police Departments. It aims to connect local youth with local law enforcement.

Saturday in Princeton, kids learned all about the gear police officers use like hand cuffs, bullet-proof vests and the inside of a police cruiser.

In the upcoming classes throughout the spring, kids learn about criminal investigation, K-9 units and the SWAT team.

Lt. Halsey, the instructor for the Princeton Police Explorers Program says if you missed the class on Saturday, you can still become a certified Police Explorer by attending the other classes.
