(WVVA) Clouds will increase Thursday night and southeasterly winds will increase in speed. Sustained winds will be 10-20 mph with gusts up to 30 at times through Friday. A few showers are possible late tonight, but most areas will not see much rain until late Friday. A few showers are possible in the morning with more widespread showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs will be in the upper 60s and lower 70s.
The front will sag to our south on Saturday but will begin to lift back north as a warm front through Sunday morning. This will keep rain chances around through Saturday and Sunday. An area of low pressure will pass by to our northwest on Sunday and an associated cold front will move through on Sunday evening. Rain showers are expected and could be heavy at times. Drier weather is expected early next week after a few lingering showers on Monday.
