Campsite reservations available online at West Virginia state parks

(WVVA) People can now reserve campsites at West Virginia State Parks online up to a year in advance.

Cabins, lodge rooms and picnic shelters within the state park system can also be reserved online.

“Our state parks and forests are a cornerstone of West Virginia’s tourism industry and improving the way people plan their trip is going to make visiting Almost Heaven that much more of a memorable experience,” said Gov. Jim Justice.

Visit to make a reservation. If you cancel your plans within 60 days of your planned visit, a credit will be issued for a future stay. Reservations canceled within a week will be non-refundable.

“Many of our guests enjoy camping at the same park each year, so we’re excited to give them a new way to plan and enjoy their vacation,” said Sam England, chief of the West Virginia State Parks system.

More than seven million people visit West Virginia parks and forests every year.

“Allowing potential visitors to see availability online will make us much more accessible to a whole new set of campers,” said Tourism Commissioner Chelsea Ruby.

Don’t worry, walk-ins are still welcome. And you can inquire about availability beforehand online or by calling 1-833-WVPARKS.
