West Virginia is all about the hospitality, including Mercer County.
The Mercer County Convention and Visitors Bureau hosted the “West Virginia Welcome” training in Bluefield and Princeton.
The day was about teaching and educating the attendees about how to be the face of the travel industry,
providing top-level service to visitors, especially those in hotels and restaurants.
The program was led by Jackie Anderson, with the West Virginia Hospitality Education and Training program.
“We like to provide whatever guests need,” said Anderson. “When guests ask us what there is to do here, we want to have a great answer, to make sure people want to come back.”
The training was free to tourism partners and local business owners.
