Concord announces 2019 football schedule

On Tuesday, the Mountain Lions released their football schedule for the upcoming season.

The campaign kicks off on September 7 at 2018 Division II semifinalist, Notre Dame at noon.

Concord’s home opener will be against future Mountain East opponent, Frostburg State, also at noon.

The Mountain Lions’ lone non-conference game will take them to Hillsdale, Michigan for a matchup with the Chargers on October 5 at 1 p.m.

Homecoming will be October 19, as Fairmont State will visit Athens for a 1 p.m. kickoff.

Two of the team’s final three games will be at home against West Virginia Wesleyan and Wheeling Jesuit, with a Thursday night contest in Charleston to be played in between.

Sept. 14 vs. Frostburg State (12 p.m.)

Sept. 21 at Glenville State (12 p.m.)

Sept. 28 vs. West Virginia State (12 p.m.)

Oct. 5 at Hillsdale (MI) (1 p.m.)

Oct. 12 at West Liberty (1 p.m.)

Oct. 19 vs. Fairmont State (1 p.m.) — Homecoming

Oct. 26 at Urbana (1 p.m.)

Nov. 2 vs. West Virginia Wesleyan (1 p.m.)

Nov. 7 at Charleston (7 p.m.)

Nov. 16 vs. Wheeling Jesuit (12 p.m.)
