WVU earns sixth-straight Backyard Brawl victory

The Mountaineers and Panthers made the trip to PNC Park on Tuesday evening for the final installment in the 2019 Backyard Brawl.

The Panthers took a first-inning lead, but WVU answered back with three runs in the third. They would never give up that lead the rest of the way, winning 9-4.

Nick Snyder pitched another gem for the Mountaineers, allowing just one earned run and three hits over seven innings of work. Tyler Doanes had the hot night at the plate, going 3-for-5 with 3 RBIs.

West Virginia finishes the season at home against George Washington. The first game of the series will be Thursday at 6:30 p.m.
