North defeats South in girls all-star basketball game, 84-60

The North defeated the South in the annual all-star game 84-60 on Sunday night at East Fairmont High School.

Despite the loss, several local players shined for the South squad.

Woodrow Wilson’s Laken Ball won the free throw contest prior to the game, and she would go on to score a team-high 13 points en route to the South team MVP award.

Wyoming East’s Jasmine Blankenship nearly scored in the double-digit range, raking in nine points in the contest.

Bluefield’s Autumn Spangler also made a splash, scoring six points for the South.
