(FAYETTE COUNTY) Mother nature didn’t cooperate Saturday at Wonderland Water Park for the 9th annual ‘Big Air Blob Competition.’
More than 100 participants were signed up for their chance to fly high in the sky and land in water to impress judges but only a few were able to brave out the competition before the weather turned south. One of those participants included a young girl who traveled over six hours from Virginia Beach.
“It was my first time here. It was really scary I back-flipped and I have never done that before. It’s pretty hard because people have a weight difference. You fly in the air and jump in the water while doing flips off of it,” Brianna Boden said.
Despite the blob competition upset, families still enjoyed their holiday break.
