Concord women’s basketball announces 2019-20 schedule

The Lady Mountain Lions and head coach Kenny Osborne released the team’s 28-game slate on Tuesday.

The program is coming off of a record 23-win season in 2018-19 and a trip to the Mountain East Tournament semifinals.

CU will open the year with the MEC-PSAC Challenge at Fairmont State. Lock Haven will be the first opponent on Saturday, November 9, followed by Seton Hill on Sunday, November 10.

A non-conference home-and-home series with Bluefield State will begin on Tuesday, November 12 in Bluefield. The Lady Blues will then visit Athens on Monday, February 3.

UVA-Wise remains on the schedule, despite the fact that the Cavaliers are no longer a member of the Mountain East. Concord will host former CU standout, Jamie Cluesman, and the Cavs on Thursday, November 14.

The Lady Lions’ first conference game will be at home against the University of Charleston on Saturday, November 23.

The regular season will conclude with Glenville State in the Carter Center on Saturday, February 29.

The Mountain East Tournament will take place in Wheeling, West Virginia from March 4-8th.
