West Virginia selected eighth in Big 12 Preseason Poll

On Wednesday, the Big 12 Conference released its Football Preseason Media Poll.

After finishing 20th in last season’s final AP Top 25 Poll, the Mountaineers landed in the bottom half of the conference projections. West Virginia received 241 total points and rank eighth, ahead of Kansas and Kansas State.

Oklahoma picked up 68 of the 77 first place votes, while Texas received the other nine. The full standings are below.
