Second phase of construction, new city hall building

CITY OF PRINCETON, W.Va (WVVA) The City of Princeton has started the second phase of construction on the new city hall building located at 800 Bee Street.

Construction workers are expanding parking around the building which includes part of the emergency route for the City of Princeton Fire Department.

The work consists of leveling the area before later doing the gravel work.

“The availability of public parking and access into city hall is going to be better,” said City Manager Mike Webb.

Phase two of construction is expected to take about 6 months until it’s completed.

Webb says the entire project, which includes the building and field plans, should be completed within eight years.

The City of Princeton Fire Department and Princeton Police Department will also be located inside of the new facility.
