UPDATE: Wanted woman arrested for Child Abuse and Neglect in Tazewell County

UPDATE: Tami Faith Compton has been arrested by the Tazewell County Sheriff’s Office.

Compton made arrangements to turn herself into authorities following tips on her whereabouts.

She has been booked on felony charge of abuse/neglect of a child with reckless disregard.



Tazewell County, Va. (WVVA) – Tazewell County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a female in connection with child abuse and neglect charges.

Tami Faith Compton, 41, is wanted on child abuse and neglect charges following an investigation of her 14-year-old autistic son being abandoned at a residence in the Thompson Valley Area. The autistic minor was found to be alone for an alleged five days, with minimal food and no supervision. After searching the residence, the investigating officers stated the residence was contaminated with excessive amounts of dog feces.

Compton, who also goes by the name Tami Faith Sanchez, is believed to be the Princeton area of Mercer County.

Anyone with knowledge of Tami Faith Compton’s whereabout is advised to contact Tazewell County Sheriff’s Office or the local law enforcement agency. All callers will be treated as anonymous and all tips treated as confidential.
