Man accused of making terroristic threats to Beckley Police Department bond denied again

(RALEIGH COUNTY) A new bond release was denied for a man who threatened to harm Beckley Police.
Anthony Brown was back in court Monday afternoon for a bond revocation.

Brown was arrested back in April after calling the Beckley Police Department records division. He had asked about a seized firearm.

Beckley Police records personnel told him that his gun could not be released until the case was resolved. Brown then became upset and began making terroristic threats stating that he was going to come to the Beckley Police Department and start shooting.

Brown had also been arrested for another incident involving shooting a firearm. In court, Brown’s attorney requested that he be released on bond.

However, Judge Robert A. Burnside said he believed that Brown is still a threat to the community.

Brown will remain at Southern Regional Jail until another hearing is set.
