Tractor Trailer overturns on I-64 in Raleigh County

RALEIGH COUNTY, W.Va. (WVVA) – A tractor trailer jackknifed and overturned Thursday afternoon around 4 p.m. on I-64 at mile marker 134 near Sandstone Mountain in Raleigh County.

The Beckley Detachment of the WV State Police confirmed with WVVA that the driver lost control and took out 250 ft. of guardrail.

The woman was extracted from the tractor trailer and taken to a nearby hospital. State Police say she is expected to be ok. Beaver, Mabscott, Coal City and Summers County Fire Departments responded to the scene along with State Police.
