west to northwest winds and much colder air will bring periods of
accumulating snow showers to the mountains along with occasional
blowing snow and reduced visibilities.
* WHAT…Heavy snow above 3500 feet expected. Total snow
accumulations of 4 to 10 inches with locally higher amounts
above 4500 feet. Winds gusting up to 50 mph, which will result
in blowing snow and reduced visibilities.
* WHERE…In Virginia, Grayson County. In North Carolina,
Watauga and Ashe Counties.
* WHEN…Until 7 AM EST Tuesday.
* IMPACTS…Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
conditions could impact the evening commute. Gusty winds could
