Winter Storm Warning issued December 2 at 9:37PM EST until December 3 at 7:00AM EST by NWS Blacksburg VA

…PERIODS OF SNOW SHOWERS AND BLOWING SNOW IN THE MOUNTAINS
INTO EARLY TUESDAY MORNING…

.A storm system will be moving slowly off the Mid Atlantic and
Northeast coast tonight. Gusty west to northwest winds and much
colder air will bring periods of accumulating snow showers to the
mountains along with occasional blowing snow and reduced
visibilities.

* WHAT…Heavy snow. Additional snow accumulations of 1 to 3
inches. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph, which will result in
blowing snow and reduced visibilities.

* WHERE…Western Greenbrier County.

* WHEN…Until 7 AM EST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS…Plan on slippery road conditions. Areas of blowing
snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous
conditions will impact the morning commute. Gusty winds could
bring down tree branches.
A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather
conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of snow
are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in an
