Winter Weather Advisory issued December 2 at 9:37PM EST until December 3 at 7:00AM EST by NWS Blacksburg VA

…PERIODS OF SNOW SHOWERS AND BLOWING SNOW IN THE MOUNTAINS
INTO EARLY TUESDAY MORNING…

.A storm system will be moving slowly off the Mid Atlantic and
Northeast coast tonight. Gusty west to northwest winds and much
colder air will bring periods of accumulating snow showers to the
mountains along with occasional blowing snow and reduced
visibilities.

* WHAT…Snow. Additional snow accumulations of up to two inches.
Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.

* WHERE…In Virginia, Bland, Tazewell and Smyth Counties. In
West Virginia, Mercer and Summers Counties.

* WHEN…Until 7 AM EST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS…Plan on slippery road conditions. Areas of blowing
snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous
conditions may impact the morning commute. Gusty winds could
bring down tree branches.
Slow down and use caution while traveling.
