Trial date for a former teacher pushed back to May

MERCER COUNTY, W.Va.(WVVA)- The trial date for a former special needs teacher facing child abuse charges has been rescheduled to May 19, 2020.

Marlene 'Molly' Robinson was expected to face a jury this week, however, the judge changed the date to allow the state more time to present an expert witness in the case.

Robinson faces charges for child abuse with injury and child abuse with risk of injury, for incidents believed to have occurred at Bluewell Elementary School last year, where she was employed as a teacher.
