WVU bounces back with blowout victory over Texas

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (WVVA) - Just two days after struggling mightily on the road at Kansas State, the Mountaineers crushed the Longhorns at home, 97-59.

Texas scored to make it 23-15 with 8:39 left in the first half, but the home team exploded for a 20-0 run. By the break, Bob Huggins and crew led 45-20.

The advantage only grew in the final frame, as WVU outscored the visitors 52-39 in the second half.

Oscar Tshiebwe finished with 13 points and 11 rebounds in a 97-59 blowout of the Longhorns. Twelve different Mountaineers found their way onto the score sheet in the win.

West Virginia will play Missouri next on Saturday as part of the Big 12/SEC Challenge. Tip-off is scheduled for 12 p.m.
