Cold spell continues today; seasonable warmth arrives and stays for remainder of the work week

Remaining Ad Time Ad - 00:00

Another cooler than average day is in store, but most of the area should enter into the 30s with our highs. A few slick spots are possible throughout today as temperatures will be below freezing for a few areas. We are starting off the morning with temperatures in the single digits, teens, and twenties. We have a few flurries making their way this morning, but should completely clear out as we continue into the day.

High pressure is in control which will allow clouds to part and have the sunshine emerge lasting into tomorrow. Winds will continue to come out of the northwest at around 5 to 10 MPH. Gusts could hit 10 to 15 MPH.

Overnight clear skies will dominate along with chilly temperatures where temps will hit in the teens and twenties. Frost formation is likely once again tonight and into tomorrow morning.

Throughout Wednesday we will notice a notable difference with our highs. Temperatures will hit into the middle and upper 40s. 40 degree temperatures last into Friday.

We stay dry until Friday where a frontal system will come through allowing moisture in the form of rain/wintry precipitation. Wintry weather looks likely throughout the weekend with temperatures dipping down into the 30s.
