WINTER WEATHER ADVISORIES ARE ISSUED FOR BUCHANAN, MCDOWELL, WYOMING, RALEIGH AND FAYETTE COUNTIES UNTIL 1 PM THIS AFTERNOON.

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IS ISSUED FOR POCAHONTAS COUNTY UNTIL 7 PM FRIDAY.

WIND ADVISORIES ARE ISSUED FOR TAZEWELL, MERCER, SUMMERS, BLAND, WYTHE, GILES, MONROE AND GREENBRIER COUNTIES UNTIL 6 PM FRIDAY.

Power outages and downed trees are possible throughout today.

A FLOOD (AREAL) WARNING IS ISSUED FOR TAZEWELL COUNTY UNTIL 1:30 PM FRIDAY.

FLOOD (AREAL) WARNINGS ARE ISSUED FOR SUMMERS, MERCER, BLAND AND WYTHE COUNTIES UNTIL 11:30 AM FRIDAY.

A FLOOD (AREAL) WARNING IS ISSUED FOR GILES COUNTY UNTIL 9:45 AM FRIDAY MORNING.

A FLOOD WARNING IS ISSUED FOR PORTIONS OF TAZEWELL COUNTY AND WILL CONTINUE *UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE*

Runoff will continue to be an issue. Continue to monitor rivers, creeks and streams.

Turn around, don't drive. Never drive through flooded roadways. Find an alternate route.

RIVER FLOOD WARNING for the New River near Allisonia is active until Saturday evening. The stage at 7 AM Friday was 9.9 feet and is continuing to rise. Flood stage is 8 feet. Forecast to rise to 10.4 feet this afternoon. The river will fall below flood stage on Saturday morning.

RIVER FLOOD WARNING for the Clinch River near Richlands is active until further notice. The stage at 7 AM Friday was 10.9 feet. Flood stage is 10.0 feet. The river should fall below flood stage by late Friday.
