Tazewell County is still recovering from last week's floods. However, community support brought in canned goods, cleaning supplies, paper towels, tissue, and plenty of water.
These relief supplies filled the Richlands Police Department last Friday. There were enough donations to share with their neighbors in McDowell County. Some of those flood victims are still in need of help.
Thursday, many trucks and SUVs shuttled flood relief supplies across the state line from the Richlands Police Department to War, WV.
Debbie King, a community volunteer from McDowell County, said that she will be at the Calvary Baptist Church in War, WV from 9-5 Friday. If you are in need in McDowell County, you can pick up goods from there.
The National Guard will be in McDowell County next Wednesday as well and will help flood victims.
