BECKLEY, W.Va. (WVVA) A Raleigh County man is behind bars after deputies said he tried to kill a man on Monday.
According to the complaint, David Michael Walker was charged with Attempted Murder, Malicious Wounding, Possession with Intent to Deliver, and Conspiracy.
Court records show deputies were called to Raleigh General Hospital for a report of a shooting victim on Monday. The victim told deputies he was shot by Walker inside of his home.
After speaking to witnesses, deputies were able to track down Walker along with several others at his home. The firearm used in the shooting was found in the home as well, the complaint stated.
The complaint also stated that Walker confessed to the crime following an argument between the two.
Walker was arraigned Tuesday by Magistrate Rick Jones. Bond was set at $150,000.
The Raleigh County Sheriff's Dept. is handling the investigation.
