The City of Bluefield hosted their 4th Entrepreneur to Entrepreneur event Thursday afternoon to inspire those seeking to own their own businesses and increase the economy in Mercer County.
The event was set up a lot like 'speed dating" with 10 businesses rotating to each table to speak with interested attendees for 12 minutes at a time to pass on knowledge about their business, and set new goals.
"There's a couple of things that we're interested in and that's helping entrepreneurs make it easier for them to start a business and also a lot of small businesses fail. So what we're trying to do is prep them up through mentoring and other things like that to help them be successful. Secondly it allows business owners to network with each other so they can do business together or learn from each other," Community and Economic Development Director, Jim Spencer said.
The Entrepreneur to Entrepreneur event was held inside the Bluefield Arts Center.
