Combing through hairstyle stereotypes

WEST VIRGINIA (WVVA)- A bill is currently making its way through the West Virginia Senate that would make it illegal for schools and employers to discriminate against a person because of hair texture or hair style.

If passed, the bill can help stop a recurring theme across our country, forced haircuts, most notably, young black males with dreadlocks.

WVVA's Jennifer Roberts takes a deeper look into the roots of discrimination, by first combing through the "elephant in the room," hairstyle stereotypes (watch video above).
