Summers County cruises to section title

HINTON, W.Va. (WVVA) - The Lady Bobcats completed the season sweep of Greenbrier West to claim the Class A Region 3 Section 2 championship on Friday night.

Summers County controlled the pace of the first half, leading 36-16 at the break.

The Lady Cavs cut the lead to 14 midway through the third quarter. But, that was about as close as the visitors would get.

Taylor Isaac scored a team-high 24 points for the Lady Bobcats, while teammate Gavin Pivont chipped in 20.

Summers County will host the Region 3 Section 1 runner-up, Charleston Catholic, in a Region Co-final next week. Greenbrier West will travel to Pocahontas County in the other Region Co-final.
