A Mercer County woman is sentenced to life in prison for sex crimes involving a child.

43-year-old Elizabeth Haway entered a guilty plea last December. She admitted guilt to seven charges including 1st degree sexual assault and incest.

Wednesday, Haway was sentenced to serve up to 155 years in prison.

"The court expressed it's disgust with the crime and I think took some mercy on Ms. Haway because of her own history of sexual assault as a child. But she will spend the rest of her life in the penitentiary, which is a satisfactory outcome. Hopefully this child can move on from this and recover," Prosecuting Attorney for Mercer County, George Sitler said.

Haway's minimum sentence is 45 years behind bars. She will be 88-years-old before she's eligible for parole.
