Oak Hill man in prison for delivery of methamphetamine

OAK HILL, W.Va. (WVVA) - Fayette County Prosecuting Attorney Jeffery T. Mauzy announces that on May 20, 2020, James Cosby, Jr., age 53, of Scarbro, was sentenced by Chief Judge Paul M. Blake, Jr. to two (2) to ten (10) years in prison for delivery of methamphetamine.

He entered a guilty plea to the crime on February 20, 2020.

On May 8, 2017, Cosby, Jr. sold a quantity of methamphetamine to a cooperating individual in the Oak Hill area.

Cosby had prior felony drug convictions in 2006 and 2013.

This crime was investigated by the Central West Virginia Drug Task Force and was prosecuted by Fayette County Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Elizabeth K. Campbell.
