Continuing to hold onto some showers during Memorial Day weekend

Flood Warnings are still active in our region. A Flood Warning for the New River at Glen Lyn will remain active until Saturday night.

The Flood Warning for the New River at Allisonia will remain active until 8am Saturday.

Continuing to hold on to a chance for rain. Good news is we will see breaks. This morning most of the area is receiving a bit of drier air. Dense fog is being spotted from the overnight rain. A Dense Fog Advisory is out for Mercer, Bland, Tazewell and Wythe counties until 9AM this morning. Visibility is less than a mile.

High temperatures today will hop into the 70s.

Winds have finally calmed down for us. Most of the area won't deal with windy conditions, but in the afternoon-evening there is a potential for a few storms to pop up. If this happens, winds will pick up in speed. Can't rule out the chance for some hail formation as well within storms.

Overnight, most of the area will be fairly dry with a shower or two skirting by. Lows will be in the 50s and 60s.

Throughout Saturday, we will see times of sun, clouds, showers and storms. We start off mostly dry and cloudy, but during the afternoon a few showers and storms build back in. Temperatures on both Saturday and Sunday will be in the 70s and 80s.

Rain chances have increase on Sunday. Numerous weather systems will be around our region giving the chances for rainfall. Memorial Day we will see some on and off showers with temperatures in the 70s.
