Daycare worker in Fayette County tests positive for COVID-19

OAK HILL, W.Va (WVVA) The Fayette County Health department is reporting a positive case of COVID-19 at a Place to Grow Daycare in Oak Hill. Following Governor Jim Justice's order, all employees at the daycare were tested.

The employee was asymptomatic. All daycare families have been notified and children were dismissed in order to have the facility cleaned. Those in close contact with the individual will be in quarantine for 14 days.

In order to assure safety of children and employees, the health department is working closes with the daycare. Testing is also being offered for children and employees at the health department.

Fayette County currently has 43 confirmed cases. 23 active cases, 17 recovered, and three deaths.
