BLUEFIELD, Va. (WVVA) - From tee ball all the way up through the majors division, Bluefield Virginia Little League is back on the diamond.
Games do not look exactly as they have in years past, thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, there is a genuine excitement among the players, coaches and spectators to see the return of the games they love.
"It's been a large and hard undertaking and it's a daily thing from temperature checks to disinfecting the facilities in between each game," league president Jarried McFarland admitted. "It's a lot of work, but to see what we're seeing tonight, it is definitely worth it for the kids."
Games will continue Monday through Thursday for all age groups throughout the summer.
