BREAKING UPDATE: Four RV’s stolen in connection to national theft ring recovered


UPDATE 02/24/2020 4:00 P.M.

Since the recovery of two RV's this morning, the other RV's have been recovered.

They were abandoned off the the Ghent exit of I-77 headed toward Odd.

The suspects had fled the scene.

All stolen property has been recovered.

MERCER CO., W.Va. (WVVA) - Early this morning at approx. 1:00 a.m., four RV Campers were stolen from Roy’s RV’s in Randolph County.

They were pulled by four separate pickup trucks.

The suspects drove through the North Beckley Toll Plaza without paying.

West Virginia State Police managed to stop two of the four trucks in Mercer County. The drivers were taken into custody.

The stolen merchandise was secured.

This is still under investigation, but it is being connected to the National Theft Ring involving stolen RV's being obtained throughout Southeastern United States and shipped to foreign countries.

The stolen property is valued at $220,863.
