Greenbrier County Schools explain how bus system will work during the pandemic

LEWISBURG, W.Va. (WVVA) Greenbrier County Schools' re-entry plan released Friday also takes into account the bus system.

By only requiring secondary students to attend school twice a week, that will free up space on the bus.

According to Dir. of Operations George Brooks, the county will take it one step further by grouping students in the same family together.

The county has also invested in electrostatic magnetic sprayers which will be used on the bus every day or more if a student tests positive.

"It's areas that kids may put their hands and fingers. It really gives that extra grip on disinfecting."

The hand rail leading into the bus will also be addressed under the plan by having hand sanitizer stations at the top of the bus steps.
