GARY, W.Va. (WVVA) - The boil water advisory enacted by the City of Gary on July 22nd has been lifted.
The initial advisory was set in place due to water outages and/or low system pressure. Water started flowing back into the homes of Gary residents on July 29th, but the boil water advisory continued to stay in place at that time.
The City of Gary Public Service District (PSD) announced that the problem has since been corrected and that residents do not need to continue boiling their water before usage. The PSD also apologizes for any inconvenience.
