Showers & storms to become more numerous, wider-spread into Wednesday

An incoming cold front will bring us unsettled weather as we enter midweek. Out ahead of this boundary, we look to see just a few scattered showers/rumbles of thunder for the rest of this afternoon and into the early evening. Tonight will otherwise remain partly cloudy, muggy, and mild, with overnight lows in the 60s. Severe weather and/or heavy rain/flooding issues are looking unlikely for the rest of our Tuesday, but by tomorrow, we could be looking at different scenario as the front moves in.

Wednesday looks to bring a mix of sun and clouds early, followed by more numerous and scattered showers/t-storms into Wednesday afternoon and evening.

Though the severe t-storm threat is looking little to none, isolated heavy downpours will be more likely tomorrow, so isolated flooding issues could also arise, especially near creeks, streams, and poor drainage areas. Stay weather aware!

The front will meander across our region into Thursday, keeping the chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms around into midweek. Another system will keep the chance of rain on the higher end as we head into the weekend....make sure to tune in tonight to WVVA NEWS AT 5, 6, 10 (CW) and 11 PM for the latest full forecast!
