WATCH LIVE: Gov. Justice to address the state on COVID-19 (Aug. 12)

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - Gov. Jim Justice will conduct a live, statewide address this afternoon at approx. 12:30 p.m. to provide West Virginians an update on COVID-19 preparedness and response efforts.

Sending children back to classrooms has been top of mind for Justice.

The governor said last Wednesday that counties will submit plans this month for planned school reopenings on Sept. 8.

As of this post, virus cases are at some of their highest levels since the outbreak began as 8,008 people have tested positive and 153 people have died.
