Little boy beats leukemia, police escort welcomes him home

WYTHE COUNTY, Va (WVVA) - A four year old boy named Evan has beat leukemia, and he was welcomed home last week by a police escort.

Evan had spent five months at St. Jude's Hospital, according to a post on Wythe County Sheriff's Office Facebook page.

Evan was welcomed home with a police escort which included Virginia State Police, Max Meadows Fire Dept., Lead Mines Rescue and Complete Towing and Recovery.

"We were happy to escort him home where all his family, friends and neighbors were waiting to give him a well deserved hero’s welcome Welcome Home Evan, we missed you!!!," according to the post.
