Mercer County Public Schools are now YELLOW

MERCER COUNTY, W. Va. (WVVA) - Mercer County Schools are now classified in the YELLOW category of the WV DHHR map system.

Mercer County schools will follow the schedule below for the week of September 14th to September 18th.

September 14th - September 18th, 2020

ALL elementary students will attend 5 days a week (7:15 AM to 1:00 PM).

Middle school and high school students will follow a 50% system, where students will go to school every other day depending on their last name.

On days students are home, learning will be continued by using virtual instruction via Schoology.

The list below shows the alphabetical breakdown by last name:

  • Monday, Sept. 14th - A-K
  • Tuesday, Sept. 15th - L-Z
  • Wednesday, Sept. 16th - A-K
  • Thursday, Sept. 17th - L-Z
  • Friday, Sept. 18th - A-K

Virtual students must check their Office 365 daily.

A School Messenger call will go out to all parents and staff on Saturday evening to give final plans.
