LEWISBURG W. VA. (WVVA) - The West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine was named a great college to work for by the Chronicles of Higher Education.
This was the eighth time the school has earned that ranking, which was determined by a survey completed by staff.
According to Leslie Bicksler, the Director of Human Resources, they ranked as honor roll which means they received top marks in most categories.
She said she believes staff enjoys working there because of how supportive the environment is for students and staff.
"People care about one another in this community and they make sure our students have what they need, and employees have what they need to get their job done," said Bicksler. "It's a fun environment to work in when you know that we're all working toward a shared mission."
Bicksler said that mission is preparing the students who study there for successful careers as osteopathic doctors no matter where they end up working.
