San Francisco 49ers setting up camp at The Greenbrier

WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va. (WVVA) - The 49ers left MetLife Stadium on Sunday with their first win of the season, 31-13 over the New York Jets.

They left a little bruised and battered, as well. Some key guys like Nick Bosa, Jimmy Garoppolo and Raheem Mostert, just to name a few, all went down with injuries this past weekend.

There's no rest for the weary, however. It's right back to New Jersey to face the Giants on Sunday afternoon. But, instead of heading out west, the team decided to set up shop at America's Resort this week.

It may not be home, but the change of scenery might be exactly what the team needed this week.

"I mean you need a place that has practice fields to start with -- you want a place on the east coast to start with -- so you don't have to change time," head coach Kyle Shanahan said.

"And a place that can accommodate everybody as far as meeting rooms and hotel rooms. This place has put on training camps for a number of teams -- so it's actually built amazingly perfect for this."

"We're kinda secluded out here -- but we're together," veteran offensive lineman Trent Williams added. "We're together 24/7. It's just another chance to build that team camaraderie and become closer as a team."

The team will practice at The Greenbrier for the rest of the week. However, practices will be closed due to NFL COVID-19 protocol.
