Mason Horodyski

Mason Horodyski joined WVVA in September 2020 as the Weekend Sports Anchor and Sports MMJ.

Mason was born and raised in Upstate New York. He is from Highland, NY, where he attended Highland High School and developed his passion for sports and storytelling.

From there, Mason would go on to attend Syracuse University (Go Orange!) where he would major in Broadcast and Digital Journalism at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. He graduated with honors in May 2020. During his time at Syracuse, Mason was involved in various campus organizations. He worked as a sports reporter, producer, and analyst at CitrusTV, Syracuse University's on-campus student-run television station, and was a member of Phi Gamma Delta.

Mason is die-hard New York sports fan. He roots for the New York Yankees and New York Giants. In his free time, he enjoys exercising and staying in shape, playing video games and watching his favorite teams win (unless it's the Giants, they mostly lose).

Mason is incredibly excited to be in such a welcoming and sports-passionate community like here in Southern West Virginia! He believes that sports have a unique way of bringing people together, and loves to tell the stories of the athletes, coaches, teams, and fans that help make sports so special.
