Princeton man charged with second-degree murder, more charges after stabbing attack

PRINCETON, W. Va. (WVVA) - Authorities in Mercer County say a stabbing attack left one man dead and three injured on Saturday morning.

Corporal M.S. Horn of the Mercer County Sheriff's Office told the Bluefield Daily Telegraph that 31-year old Eric Bent was charged with second degree murder and three counts of malicious wounding following the Saturday morning attack.

Horn said all five men were at a home that belonged to one of the victims.

It appeared an altercation occured over drugs that led to the stabbing.

Bent was taken to the Southern Regional Jail.

The crime is still being investigted by police.

It is unknown if Bent has attorney at this time.
